Event Description:
Overview of best practices in caring for non-accidental trauma patients, enhancing understanding of the patterns and diagnostic evaluation of suspected child abuse.
Objectives:
At the completion of this knowledge-based activity, the participant should be able to:
- Discuss the abuse services offered by Cook Children’s.
- Recognize the patterns of non-life threatening abuse injuries.
- Describe the proper diagnostic evaluation when child abuse is suspected.
