NTX-MHA: Learning Collaborative Webinar - ROI Analysis of the Maternal Health Accelerator
Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (1:00 PM - 2:00 PM) (CDT)
Description
Quantifying the financial burden of preventable birth complications is a challenging and yet critical step toward developing payment models that invest in preventive maternal healthcare, saving both lives and taxpayer dollars.
This MCO Learning Collaborative webinar will discuss the findings from Milliman's new report, which estimates the impact of reducing severe obstetric complications and other maternal morbidities like preeclampsia. We will also hear from several MCOs regarding the implications for payment model innovation.
This report is possible thanks to the support of the Episcopal Health Foundation, an anchor funder of the North Texas Maternal Health Accelerator: a first-of-its-kind, outcome-based payment program that seeks to reduce severe obstetric complications by 20% in a service area with more deliveries than 30 US states.
